Travel Journals

May 20, 2009

With Memorial Day just around the corner, many people will be traveling for the long weekend. So it seems appropriate that this week’s topic should be about travel journals.

Have you ever kept a travel journal? If so, did you find that your memories had more “staying power” - meaning that the memories remained fresher in your mind?

Photographs are wonderful! But sometimes they don’t always tell the story.

Keeping a travel journal gives you the opportunity to become the storyteller. It’s a nice way to remember a family trip over a Friday night pizza dinner. Or perhaps you can rekindle that wonderfully romantic weekend getaway with your husband.

On your next vacation or weekend getaway, grab a journal and record your thoughts, feelings and experiences about your trip.

And always remember to date every entry!

Feel free to post any comments regarding your experiences with travel journals - or to ask any questions you may have about keeping a travel journal.
